Tech AI is a Smart Assistant NOT a Strict Boss Today AI is an inseparable part of life. I’m writing this to explore how this tech can help us further with day to day tasks, no matter how small or difficult. From your early morning breakfast, to your daily drive around the city in a Tesla, to scrolling at night. It has become close to impossible to totally isolate yourself from AI. And we all use it – kids in elementary schools, programmers in their dark basements, those who have mobility issues or a kind of physical problem, for example. Activities like making this article have been enhanced and improved with these tools. This new tech is a superpower! They allow us to think on a deeper level and piece through the vast expanse of online knowledge easily. A life before these tools seem so slow and outdated. And to think it was just a few years ago that we had to do our tasks manually! It’s exciting to think that if tech can do this now, what more years from now? I hope that more people would be AI literate today, and we should all embrace AI as a productivity aid. The performance enhancing substances today are AI tools and not illicit medicines. Now, as life can no longer be imagined without AI, it’s a wise choice to treat these tools like an intelligent and helpful assistant to meet daily milestones, instead of a strict boss who makes no mistakes. Health Work Life Balance is the Key to Success Wasting away on the keyboard for hours on end doesn’t make you more productive. With that said, I believe that hustle culture should come to an end. It’s the cause of all kinds of disease and disorder, to say the very least. But not in the way you might think at first, in this article I will explain why I believe that balance is a key to career success. While it’s true that increased focus on a task paradoxically makes you less productive, it also isn’t true that we should stop and rest for too long. In long stretches spent online, I use the Pomodoro technique, where I take scheduled pauses from work to refresh my mind and body. I use an alarm to set when I must rest, and another to remind me when I should continue work. Just like Yin and Yang, work and life is a fragile balance that needs mediation. Without the Id, there cannot be the Superego. We must assume the Ego roles for ourselves, and this is a practiced and a very deliberate action. We are not clockwork toys that tick and tock endlessly with a set mechanism, because we need to unwind frequently. At the same time, we are not in a state of Nirvana where we can relax for an eternity. Life needs a strong balancing act! Why I think the hustle culture so mindlessly proliferated on social media pages by influencers and content creators is a bad act because it’s extreme. It’s a philosophy that’s unhealthy because it doesn't allow balance.
